Aboriginal artists connecting to Country

Our artists come from diverse Nations and language groups, each bringing a unique connection to Country, culture and Dreaming.

As connection is at the heart of Mardaa, we provide the option to commission new artwork by an Indigenous artist selected with careful consideration for the Country your business operates on.

There are over 250 Aboriginal Nations across Australia, each with its unique language, culture and artwork. We connect you with First Nations artists from wherever you’re located to ensure you’re authentically connecting with Country.

The Torch

Our first priority is always to engage artists from the Traditional Owner groups of the Country where your business operates. Where this isn't possible, we collaborate with The Torch – an organisation that supports First Nations people by fostering artistic talent during and after incarceration. Through this partnership, we source pieces that align with your project’s vision. 100% of the proceeds from these sales go directly to the artists, providing sustainable income and supporting their transition back to community through the strength of their own craft.
