creating with purpose
For Monique, art is more than a visual medium; it is a way to express voice, identity and truth-telling. As one half of Koodjal Sisters Aboriginal Art, Monique works alongside her twin sister Shaye. Koodjal, meaning ‘two’ in Nyungar, represents their shared practice creating art that starts conversations, challenges perceptions and celebrates the beauty of Aboriginal culture.
