Shaye Humphries is a proud Ballardong, Yued and Ngadju woman. A rising creative with family lines stretching from the Wheatbelt to the Turquoise Coast, she brings a fresh contemporary perspective to every project.
Shaye’s art is a reflection of identity. Deeply rooted in culture, community and Country, her work celebrates the beauty and resilience of her people through every piece.
Based in Boorloo (Perth), Shaye is a multidisciplinary artist specialising in basket weaving, acrylic painting and digital art. Her portfolio includes significant commissions for the WAFL and Koondoola Primary School.

For Shaye, art is more than a creative outlet; it is a way of healing, teaching and keeping culture strong for the next generation. As one half of Koodjal Sisters Aboriginal Art, Shaye works alongside her twin sister Monique. Koodjal, meaning ‘two’ in Nyungar, represents their shared practice creating powerful heart-led art that carries the stories of their culture into the future.
