Kevin Bynder

Kevin Bynder is a Whadjuk-Yuet Nyungar and Widi-Badimia Yamatji artist and the CEO of Mardaa. Based in Boorloo Perth, Kevin has built a respected career spanning fine art, large-scale murals and high-profile sporting and cultural commissions.

Over the last decade, Kevin has created iconic designs for AFL, WAFL, SANFL, NBL and other professional sporting organisations, including West Coast Eagles, Fremantle Dockers, Brisbane Lions, Perth Wildcats and the Western Australian Country Football League. Along the way he also worked at La Salle Catholic College, supporting First Nations students from remote communities.

His artistry extends to major public works such as murals at Yagan Square, Elizabeth Quay, and Australia Post, as well as commissioned pieces for organisations including Perth Mint, RAC Arena, Department of Justice and Development WA.

As Mardaa CEO, Kevin brings together art, sustainability and community impact, ensuring the team delivers powerful and authentic designs that celebrate Aboriginal identity and support future generations.

Kevin likes to donate his artwork to foundations and fundraisers to support the community and promote Aboriginal art and culture. With an artistic style that fuses bold colour, symbolic storytelling, and a deep connection to Family and Country, Kevin’s work celebrates Aboriginal culture while inspiring unity, respect and positive change.
